Natalie + Buop

A Retro, Bright & Bold Wedding

Boone, Iowa

The retro theme is beloved by many and Natalie & Boup were no exception! We have been seeing a variety of themes in weddings lately as they are a form of self-expression. Our young and beautiful couple Natalie and Boup opted for bold retro theme – a vintage look with a touch of super bold and bright colors.

Natalie and Boup chose 1868 Farm House as their venue, which as the name suggests was built in 1868 and is one of the oldest farmhouses in Boone County, Iowa. The historic charm and picturesque country landscape can be viewed from this vintage farmhouse. This venue offers a climate-controlled wedding venue, meaning you can get married any time of the year no matter how cold or hot it gets outside. This rustic venue was transformed with floral work that were softly-colored takes on the bold colors throughout the rest of their theme thanks to Pretty Petunia Floral and with the blue and pink colored bold backdrop by Joy Pop Events

The bride Natalie wore a white sleeveless gown embellished with florals from Stacey’s Bridal and the groom Boup went for a white matching tux with a blue bowtie to reflect the retro vibe from Skeffington’s Formalwear. The icy blue makeup was done by Candescent Artistry and the tied-up hairstyle of the bride was fit to the theme by Alexandra Does Hair. Photographer, Amanda Basteen, and videographer, The Creative, made sure to capture loving moments of the couple and their bridal party.

The couple completed their ceremony with some heartfelt vows and food to follow and celebrated with a two-tier cake with blue, green, and purple décor by Little Black Bird Bakery. No wedding is complete without invitations! Autumn Fox Designs covered this lovely couple’s wedding invites and made sure that they stay true to the bold theme that they went for.
