The Custom Process

We are able to work closely with 6 clients for our custom design process each year. We accept a limited number of custom clients to ensure the highest level of customer service and attention to every detail. Please contact us 8 to 10 months in advance to qualify for our custom process.

 

1. Exploring Your Style

We will begin with an in-depth look at your design aesthetic and your vision for the overall feel of your wedding. From our initial correspondence we will present a budget range for the pieces to be created, conceptual design ideas and an estimated timeline.

2. Design Concepts

Once we have a sense of your style and aesthetic, we will move on to the design concept phase. This phase includes design drafts that reflect the feeling of your wedding with material concepts and printing methods that bring the designs to life.

3. Refine & Revise

After receiving feedback on the design concepts, we'll refine the design with up to five rounds of revision to perfect text, materials and overall style. We'll work together to create a suite that is a reflection of your aesthetic and your unique vision.

4. Approval & Production

Once the design has been approved, we begin production right away. Production for custom suites generally takes anywhere from 3-4 weeks, with finishing processes like assembly, calligraphy addressing, vintage postage adding 2-3 weeks to the overall process.
